Media Release 23rd January 2018 (3 men arrested on outstanding warrants.)

Three men arrested on outstanding warrants.

A 40 year old Peterborough man, a 30 year old Trenton man and a 28 year old Port Hope man were all arrested in separate incidents as a result of outstanding warrants from 2017.  The first man was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court in January 2018 on theft charges stemming from an incident in September. He was arrested by Peterborough OPP on outstanding warrants with that agency on the 22nd of January in the early morning hours. Consequently, that arrest revealed the warrants issued in this jurisdiction.  The man is further charged with failing to appear in court and failing to appear for fingerprints and photographs.

Shortly after 12:30pm on the 22nd of January 2018 Port Hope Police were called to a Walton Street apartment regarding a disturbance.  Information was received the person had left the apartment. Officers located the male on Pine Street. An investigation revealed the male was wanted on outstanding warrants from December for domestic violence allegations.  He was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

The third man was arrested by Cobourg Police on the 22nd of January after information was received by Port Hope Police on the man’s whereabouts.  This male was wanted failing to appear in court in early January 2018 for domestic violence allegations.  He was released from custody with a new court date.
