Media Release - September 19, 2025   Media Release September 19, 2025   Drug Possession Charges Laid In the early morning hours of September 19, 2025, Port Hope Police officers observed a vehicle parked behind a local business on Toronto Road. The vehicle appeared suspicious and was investigated. During the investigation, officers located suspected cocaine and psilocybin (magic mushrooms), along with drug paraphernalia. A 33-year-old male from Port Hope was arrested and charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) Possession of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin)

Media release will be updated once the suspect is in custody or warrant is sought.   Aggravated Assault Charges Laid Port Hope Police have charged a 28-year-old Ajax man following an assault that was reported after the fact. The incident occurred at a gathering in Port Hope on September 13, 2025. Police were contacted on September 17, 2025. The victim sustained a serious neck injury after being assaulted with a knife
