Media Release - October 7, 2025   Media Release October 7, 2025   Missing Persons Safely Located On October 3, 2025, Port Hope Police received a report of a missing person who had not returned home after going for a walk earlier in the afternoon. Police conducted an extensive search of the area with assistance from the Ontario Civil Emergency Assistance Program (OCEAP), the Durham Regional Police Service K9 Unit, Air1 aerial support, Ontario Provincial Police uniformed officers, and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC). Media Release - October 6, 2025   Media Release October 6, 2025   Port Hope Man Charged with Assault On September 29, 2025, Port Hope Police attended a local residence as part of an ongoing investigation, resulting in the arrest of a 33-year-old Port Hope man on assault charges. The investigation arose from a reported incident in which a verbal disagreement between known individuals escalated. At approximately 7:50 p.m., officers took the individual into custody.
