Media Release - November 27, 2025

On November 26, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a shoplifting incident at a local pharmacy. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway 401 and conducted a traffic stop.

Two adult males were arrested. One was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was held for a bail hearing due to existing court conditions. The second male was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and released on conditions.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Press Release Luring a child

 

 Luring a child

A  Port Hope resident was arrested yesterday for Luring a child and one count of making sexually explicit material available.

At the request of the Niagara Regional Police ICE Unit members of the Port Hope Police Service Criminal Investigations Bureau and Uniform Officers attended a Croft Street address in Port Hope Ontario and arrested the 32 year old male without incident.

The male was later transported to Niagara Region where he will appear in Court to answer to the charges.
