Media Release - November 27, 2025

On November 26, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a shoplifting incident at a local pharmacy. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway 401 and conducted a traffic stop.

Two adult males were arrested. One was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was held for a bail hearing due to existing court conditions. The second male was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and released on conditions.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Media Release 19th December 2017: Person to identify

Police investigating a stolen vehicle

Port Hope Police were called to a west end residence on the 15th of December after a vehicle was noticed missing from the driveway. The complainant was watching the house for the home owners while they were away.  The vehicle was last seen in the driveway on the 14th of December. The outstanding vehicle is described as a 2012 Dodge Caravan Black in colour Licence BWCW-689. Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police or Crime Stoppers.

Theft of tires and rims.

A Croft Street Garage reported on the 15th of December a theft of 4 tires and rims. The tires were stacked outside of the premise on the 14th of December.  Sometime overnight someone removed them. The tires are described as Bridgestone 17” with chrome rims. Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police or Crime Stoppers.

Port Police are requesting assistance in identifying a person of interest in a fraud.
