Media Release - November 27, 2025
On November 26, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a shoplifting incident at a local pharmacy. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway 401 and conducted a traffic stop.
Two adult males were arrested. One was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was held for a bail hearing due to existing court conditions. The second male was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and released on conditions.
The investigation remains ongoing.

On Monday, February 28th, 2022, while on general patrol, officers initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle, occupied by a female that was recognized to be wanted by the Durham Regional Police Service. While searching the vehicle, police located a false car battery that when opened, concealed a clear substance that was suspected to be crystal meth. The 29-year-old female was placed under arrest along with the male passenger who was also arrested on an outstanding warrant with the Durham Regional Police Service.
Both parties were later released from the Port Hope Police Service. The female was charged with Operate a motor vehicle - no insurance, operate a motor vehicle - no license, plates not authorized for a motor vehicle, and adult possession of a schedule I substance.
The female will appear in court on March 23, 2022, to answer to her charges.
