October 28, 2022- Public Mischief- A 25-year-old Cobourg male called Owen Sound Dispatch advising he urgently needed officers at an address on Henderson Street, Port Hope. The male caller advised dispatchers the reason for his call is that he “sees blood”. Officers attended the call and attempted to speak to the complainant regarding his complaint. Investigation revealed that the caller was not in need of police assistance in any way. The male was arrested and charged with Public Mischief. He was released and will appear in Cobourg Court on the 30th of November.
October 29, 2022- 2 males were observed fishing in the Ganaraska River near the Barrett street bridge with a net. As a result, 2 North York males were charged.
October 31- Domestic Assault- Port Hope Police were called regarding an incident that took place on Hope St North. Investigation revealed that a 51-year-old male assaulted his girlfriend after a verbal dispute within their residence. The male was also bound by a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behavior. As a result of this incident the male was charged with assault and breach of probation. He was released on an undertaking for court on the 14th of December 2022.
