ARREST -FAIL TO APPEAR FOR COURT

On the 14th of October 2022, a 34-year-old Welcome male was arrested by the Port Hope Police on the strength of an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court for an assault charge.  The male was later released and will appear in court the 23rd November 2022.

 

SUSPICIOUS MALE

On the 13th of October 2022 at approximately 1:00pm, a woman was walking in the area of the Gages Creek, Port Hope.   She advised that she was on the trail about 15-20 feet from where she parked her vehicle.   She noticed a male was watching her, so started recording and noticed a male in the bushes who appeared to be masturbating.  Port Hope Police continue to investigate.

 

ASSAULT

On the 14th of October Port Hope Police responded to a call on Centennial Drive regarding an assault.  Investigation revealed that a male had assaulted his girlfriend after they had a verbal dispute.  A 27-year old male was arrested and later released and is to appear in court on the 23rd of November 2022.

 

WARRANT-FAIL TO APPEAR FOR COURT

On the 15 of October 2022 Port Hope Police Service were called to a business on Ontario street regarding a suspicious vehicle. On arrival, officers located a 48-year-old male that was wanted for failing to appear for court.  The male was taken into custody without incident and was later released for court on the 23rd of November 2022.

 

Port Hope Police want to remind citizens to help keep the roads safe. You can do this by planning ahead for a sober ride home. If you witness an impaired driver, call 911.
