Assault Assault

Domestic Assault

After  a 41 year old man refused to leave his ex common law partner's residence the victim called the Port Hope Police Service. The couple had been arguing over a discipline issue. During the verbal confrontation the accused pushed the victim and hit her hand hard enough that her cell phone flew across the room. Their young child was present during the assault.

On February 27th, 2021 the male party was charged and released on a undertaking with conditions to remain away from the victim. The accused will appear in court on March 24th, 2021 . The names are not being released in order to  protect the victim.

Port Hope Police want to remind the community the snow by law is still in effect until March 15, 2021. Please do not park in a snow route area or you will get a ticket.
