Media Release Port Hope Police Service     Operation Impact Operation Impact is an awareness campaign that took place over the Thanksgiving weekend. The campaign focused on education and enforcement of impaired driving due to drugs and or alcohol, fatigue, aggressive driving, distracted driving, child car seats, and seat belts. Port Hope Police conducted various ride programs over the Thanksgiving weekend, to check for the above mentioned offenses. Press release Today we wear orange shirts to recognize residential school survivors and their families. We wear orange to honour and remember the many Indigenous children taken from their families and forced to attend residential schools.  Assault Peace Officer and Intoxicated in a Public Place The Ministry of Natural Resources called for Port Hope Police on Monday night September 28, 2021 for a intoxicated male falling in and out of the river.
