  Mischief/Criminal Harassment A 46-year-old Port Hope male was arrested and charged with mischief after he attempted to kick in the door of his ex-partner. On June 29th, 2024, the accused arrived at the victim’s residence and proceeded to knock, then kick at the residence door.  The victim’s daughter phoned the Police, who witnessed the accused kicking the front door upon arrival. Media Release - June 28, 2024   Theft A 46-year-old Port Hope male was arrested and charged with theft, after he and a co-accused were observed on surveillance stealing items from a downtown business. On June 24, 2024, an employee at the business reported to Police that a male and female entered the business and proceeded to work together to steal items. After officers reviewed surveillance footage, the male, known to police, was positively identified and was charged with Theft under $5000.
