Media Release - May 16, 2025   MEDIA RELEASE - May 16, 2025   Police Investigating Distraction Theft at Local Business Port Hope Police are currently investigating a distraction theft that occurred earlier today, May 16, 2025, between the hours of 12:00pm & 1:00pm at local grocery store in Port Hope. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as information becomes available. Police would like to remind the public to please be vigilant while shopping in public areas. If you believe you may be a victim of theft, contact Port Hope Police immediately at 905-885-8123.

Media Release - May 5, 2025   Media Release May 5, 2025   Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges On May 3, 2025, while on patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed speeding and making an unsafe turn. The investigation revealed the driver was operating under suspension and had an inoperative seatbelt assembly. Further observations led officers to believe the driver was impaired by drugs. The individual was arrested at the scene. A subsequent search located suspected cocaine and drug-related paraphernalia. As a result, a 49-year-old Port Hope male was charged with the
