Spousal Assault Port Hope Police responded to an unwanted person call on July 29, 2021, at a Hope Street address in Port Hope, Ontario, and learned a women had been slapped in the face with an open hand by her partner. When police attended the residence for the unwanted person complaint the victim was afraid to tell police at the time what had occurred as her partner was very angry toward police. After the victim left the residence she contacted police to advise them of the assault. The male was arrested for spousal assault. He was released on an officer in charge undertaking with

Press release     A 22 year old Port Hope man was arrested for breaching his officer in charge undertaking on July 26, 2021.   Brandon Doran was located at a Cavan Street residence, Port Hope, Ontario in the company of his girlfriend that he is to have no contact with. Doran was arrested and charged with failing to comply with an officer in charge undertaking.
