Threats
A young person who was making threats to cause death or serious bodily harm was arrested on January 5, 2021 after he turned himself into the Port Hope Police Service. The young male made the threats to a young female he had resided with temporarily at a foster home. The victim feared for her safety as the young male was aware of where she resided and felt he would follow through on the threats. The young male was released and will appear in youth court in early February, 2021 to answer to charge of two counts of uttering death threats to cause death, or serious

Shoplifting
A call from the Loss Prevention officer at the Independent Grocers on Jocelyn Street, Port Hope, Ontario led to the arrest of a Port Hope women for shoplifting on December 24, 2020. Port Hope Police attended the grocery store and placed Michelle Giordano under arrest for theft under $5000.00 dollars. Giordano was released on an undertaking. Giordano will appear in court on January 27, 2021 to answer to the charge.
