Media Release - January 24, 2023   Impaired Driver On January 23, 2023, a Cobourg citizen reported to Police that they witnessed a person attempt to use a gas pump on Division Street, but the individual was stumbling and appeared to be visually intoxicated. A “BOLO” alert was sent to Port Hope Police as the vehicle in question had a license plate that was registered to an address on Sanders Drive. Officers attended the address and the vehicle was parked in the driveway, engine running, and a male was observed in the driver’s seat.  Officers conducted a breath test with an approved screening device

Media Release - January 23, 2023   On January 20, 2023, a Port Hope Police Officer while on general patrol, noticed a vehicle with an illegible license plate. Upon pulling up next to the vehicle, the officer noticed the passenger bent over in the foot well of the car.  The Officer initialized a traffic stop and after approaching the driver’s side window he recognized drug paraphernalia that the driver and passenger had attempted to hide. Following a search of the vehicle, the officers recovered 26.3g of crack cocaine and a number of drug accessories. As a result, police arrested Pamela BLAKLEY of Castleton and
