Press release PHPS   Port Hope couple charged in sexual assault investigation   A local man, Stephen Dean and his ex-wife, Nadine Dean are both charged with sexual assault on a 19-year-old female. The victim who was known to the Dean’s was at their apartment in September 2021 when the assault occurred. Stephen Dean is charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement and uttering a death threat.  Nadine Dean is charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement. Stephen Dean was arrested on January 10th, 2022, Nadine Dean was arrested the following day January 11, 2022. Both will appear in

Press release   Break Enter with intent and Possession of break-in Instruments  An Oshawa woman claiming to be an employee of the Health unit is charged with break and enter with intent and possession of break-in instruments.  On January 7th, 2022 Port Hope Police responded to an alarm at the health unit and located Tamara Newton, inside the building. Newton claimed she was an employee with the health unit and had returned to pick up her belongings. The Health unit confirmed Newton was not an employee, nor did they know her.
