Media Release - May 5, 2025   Media Release May 5, 2025   Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges On May 3, 2025, while on patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed speeding and making an unsafe turn. The investigation revealed the driver was operating under suspension and had an inoperative seatbelt assembly. Further observations led officers to believe the driver was impaired by drugs. The individual was arrested at the scene. A subsequent search located suspected cocaine and drug-related paraphernalia. As a result, a 49-year-old Port Hope male was charged with the

Media Release - May 2, 2025   Media Release – May 2, 2025   Cobourg Police Service Arrest Leads to Significant Fentanyl Seizure A 55-year-old Cobourg male was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant by Port Hope Police, related to a shoplifting offence. The arrest occurred with the assistance of members from the Cobourg Police Service. Following his arrest, the accused was transported to the Port Hope Police station where a search was conducted and led to the discovery of approximately 50 grams of suspected illicit Fentanyl.
