Counterfeit money PHPS   Passing of Counterfeit Money Two unknown men in Port Hope were passing counterfeit $100.00 dollars bills at the Peter Street Plaza, Port Hope, ON on January 13, 2021. Three (3) businesses at the plaza received  the bills for items purchased. The men purchased products less than $100.00 dollars and then received the change back. The  first male is described as  approximately 6' tall, dark wavy hair, average build, wearing a black jacket and of course a face mask. Press release   Threats A young person who was making threats to cause death or serious bodily harm was arrested on January 5, 2021 after he turned himself into the Port Hope Police Service. The young male made the threats to a young female he had resided with temporarily at a foster home. The victim feared for her safety as the young male was aware of where she resided and felt he would follow through on the threats.  The young male was released and will appear in youth court in early February, 2021 to answer to charge of two counts of uttering death threats to cause death, or serious
