Media Release - November 27, 2025
On November 26, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a shoplifting incident at a local pharmacy. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway 401 and conducted a traffic stop.
Two adult males were arrested. One was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was held for a bail hearing due to existing court conditions. The second male was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and released on conditions.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Media Release - October 30, 2025
Break and Enter
On October 15, 2025, Port Hope Police received a report of a break and enter at a downtown business, where a laptop and cellphone were reported stolen.
Through investigation and review of video surveillance, the suspect was identified. As a result, reasonable grounds were formed to arrest the individual responsible for the offence.
On October 30, 2025, officers located and arrested a 38-year-old Port Hope female and charged her with Break and Enter - with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence. The individual was transported to the Port Hope Police Service and released on an Undertaking with conditions.
The Port Hope Police Service reminds business owners and residents to ensure their properties are properly secured and to report any suspicious activity immediately.
