Sexual Assault

A 38 year old Port Hope man is facing charges after Port Hope Police commenced an investigation into a workplace sexual assault.  Justin Reid was arrested on November 12, 2020 at his place of employment. Reid is charged with two counts of sexual assault, assault, and criminal harassment. Reid will appear in court on December 16, 2020 to answer to the charges. 

 

Port Hope Police want to remind citizens to help keep the roads safe. You can do this by planning ahead for a sober ride home. Port Hope Police are out conducting R.I.D.E. programs looking for impaired drivers who may be impaired by alcohol, drugs, or both. 


                                            

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Port Hope Police have received several complaints surrounding speeders and the use of handheld telecommunication devices (cell phones) . As a result the Port Hope Police will be conducting dedicated traffic enforcement with a zero tolerance approach. The dedicated traffic details will begin the week of November 16, 2020. Slow down, and use Bluetooth. If you do not have a vehicle with Bluetooth place your phone somewhere you do not have easy access to it to prevent you from using it while driving.
