Man charged with impaired operation.

A 27 year old man is facing impaired operation of a conveyance charge after emergency services responded to a single motor vehicle collision. On the 2nd of May 2020 shortly before 11:00am the man was driving northbound on Ontario Street when the vehicle left the road and struck a hydro pole causing the vehicle to roll over.  The man was taken to Northumberland Hills Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released. Investigation revealed the man earlier was involved in an altercation as a result of a driving complaint from another man. That altercation became physical after which the driver left the area and then became involved in this single motor vehicle collision.  Charged with Impaired operation of a conveyance, possession of a controlled substance and failing to properly wear a seatbelt is Jordan Collins of Oshawa. Collins is also charged with prescription fraud after Police alleged he altered a prescription and then tried to fill it at a pharmacy on the 3rd of May.

Update on Bear in Port Hope
