Bail Violation(s)

 56 year old Peterborough area man is facing a charge of failing to comply with an undertaking issued by a Justice of the Peace. On the 1st of October Port Hope Police received a complaint that the man was texting a family member he had been ordered not to communicate with.  The man turned himself into Port Hope Police on October 4th and was subsequently arrested and given a court date later in November. No names will be released to protect the identity of the witnesses.

A 25 year old woman is charged with failing to comply with the conditions of an officer in charge undertaking after she was investigated by Port Hope Police on the 4th of October. Shortly after 1:00am Police officers were called to a down town apartment following the complaint of a domestic dispute. When Police arrived to investigate they determined the woman was in breach of her conditions as she was not supposed to be in contact with the person whom formed the other half of the domestic complaint.  She was arrested at the scene and returned to the Port Hope Police Service. She was released with a court date for the end of October.  She is charged with two counts of bail violations. No names will be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.  

Threatening charges laid.

A 46 year old West End Port Hope woman is facing a charge of threatening after Port Hope Police investigated a family dispute. On the 7th of October Police were dealing with the dispute when information of the threat was disclosed. Information was received that on the 4th of October during another family dispute the woman threatened to harm the family member with a knife and then further used social media reiterated this threat.  The woman was arrested on October 7th and released with conditions to remain away from the victim.  She appears in court at the beginning of November. No names will be released in order to protect the identity of the complainant.  

Intoxicated person taken into custody

On the 8th of October shortly after 7:00pm Port Hope Police received a call with regards to a disturbance in the Rose Glen Road Peacock Blvd area.  Police arrived on scene and searched the area when another call was received about a suspicious male on Sanders Cres.  When Police attended there they located the male form the earlier call. He was noted to be intoxicated and was taken into custody for his own safety. The man was escorted to the Port Hope Police service where he was held until a family member could take control and care of him. He was fined $65.00
