Break and Enter.

Port Hope Police are investigating a break and enter reported on the 20th of September. A woman who lives in the Hope St North area reported at about 9:00am she left her house to do an errand and when she returned she noted the back door open. She went inside and surprised a man who was in the basement. The man fled the area. Police attended and checked the area for the man. He is described as male 6 foot tall wearing grey sweat shirt and blue jeans said to be worn out.  It is believed the man entered the residence through an unlocked door.
