Assault/ Assault with a Weapon/ Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

On April 26, 2023, Port Hope Police responded to a call on Walton Street regarding a disturbance.  On arrival police learned that a male had been assaulted by another male that had spit on him and punched him in the shoulder.   The male later pulled out an expandable collapsible baton and said, “I have something for you”.  The 45-year-old Port Hope male was arrested and charged with the above offences.  He was later released on conditions for court on the 31^st of May 2023.

Assault Causing Bodily Harm

On April 26, 2023, Port Hope Police responded to a Toronto Road address regarding an assault.  On arrival police learned that a 13-year-old male had assaulted his mother by punching and choking her.  The young male was arrested and held for a bail hearing on the 27^th of April 2023.
