Media Release - November 27, 2025
On November 26, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a shoplifting incident at a local pharmacy. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway 401 and conducted a traffic stop.
Two adult males were arrested. One was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was held for a bail hearing due to existing court conditions. The second male was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and released on conditions.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Found Deceased Female
Port Hope Police are currently investigating a deceased female that was located in the Municipality of Port Hope on May 19, 2022. The Ontario Provincial Police have been contacted to assist Port Hope Police with this investigation. The investigation is ongoing and more information will follow when it becomes available.
