Media Release - November 27, 2025
On November 26, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a shoplifting incident at a local pharmacy. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway 401 and conducted a traffic stop.
Two adult males were arrested. One was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was held for a bail hearing due to existing court conditions. The second male was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and released on conditions.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Assault with a weapon
A 20-year-old Port Hope female was arrested on Saturday night around 8:34 pm for assault. The accused was upset as the victim was trying to insert himself in a private conversation the accused and her father were having. The accused asked the victim several times to back away. When the victim did not the accused hit the victim.
The accused was released on an undertaking to appear in court on March 23, 2022 to answer to the charge.
