Lost blacksmith tools

A Freeman drive man reported his blacksmith tools that he mistakenly left by the side of the road on the when he was loading his truck to be missing. The tools were in a black bag and consisted of tools utilized for horse hoof care. Hoof Stones, Hoof nippers, hoof knife were part of these tools.  It is believed someone may have thought they were discarded.  Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police at 905-885-8123 ext 142 or email phps@phps.on.ca .

Theft of Drills

A Brown Street resident reported his shed entered and some tools taken. On the 26 of September Police took details of two Makita Drills that were in a bag taken over night 25/26 September.  Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police at 905-885-8123 ext. 142 or email phps@phps.on.ca.

Impaired operation of a conveyance

A 39 year old Oshawa man is facing impaired related charges after police were called to an erratic driving complaint on the 29th of September shortly after 1:00pm. Witnessed observed the vehicle described as a white Hyundai weaving in the lane as it was southbound on highway 28. Port Hope Police located the vehicle on Molson St and completed a traffic stop to investigated driver’s ability to drive. He was eventually arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance. James Brooks is further charged with operation of a conveyance with excess blood alcohol, driving while under suspension and operation of a motor vehicle with open liquor.  He appears in court later in October.

Tool Box taken from driveway

A Burnham Street resident reported the theft of some tools that he mistakenly left by the side of the road when loading his truck. The tools were in a black and yellow Dewalt tool box.  Police believe someone may have thought the tools were discarded and took them. A white pick up truck with black writing "Scrap Metal" was seen in the area  Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police at 905-885-8123 ext. 142 or email phps@phps.on.ca .
