Media Release 24 Jan 2020

Theft of an E Bike

On the 23rd of January 2020 Port Hope Police took a report of a theft of an E-bike taken from a Walton Street Apartment.  The e-bike was parked in the lobby area of the apartment building and is believed to have been stolen overnight 22nd/23rd of January.  The e bike is described as a IGO Elite with the following descriptors; blue/grey in colour, has an I-max motor with orange colouring, saddle bag mounted on right side, had a trailer on  left side of rear wheel.  Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police @ 905-885-8123 ext. 142.  Email phps@phps.on.ca or contact crime stoppers.

                                                               

Theft of game system

On the 21st of January 2020 Port Hope Police were called to a Queen Street store after the owner of Stuff/Dvd Rental notice a game system stolen.  The theft is believed to have occurred earlier in the day when a man entered the store and purchased a few used DVD’s.  He then distracted the shop owner and stole a new N.E.S. Classic Edition Mini Nintendo System.  The male is described as non-white possibly Asian descent, 5’7” in height, late 20’s early 30’s with a British accent wearing a dark puffy jacket and dark track pants.
