Domestic Assault
A 42-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting her common law partner on Saturday, November 27th, 2021. Following a disagreement, an argument ensued and the accused struck the victim in the face. The accused was arrested and later released on an undertaking with conditions. The accused is to appear in court in January 2022 to answer to the charge of domestic assault.
Police are reminding the public that R.I.D.E. checkpoints will be conducted throughout the holiday season and to stay safe and refrain from drinking and driving.
