WEEKEND UPDATE

On Friday September 10, 2021, Police arrested and charged a male with Indecent Acts.

Through investigation, police learned a male had conducted indecent acts in a parking lot on Toronto Road. 

As a result 46-year-old male Paheerathan KANDASAMY was arrested and charged with the following:

1. Indecent Acts contrary to section 173(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. 

KANDASAMY was released on an Undertaking with conditions and a court date. 

On Saturday September 11, 2021, Police arrested and charged a male in regards to a domestic incident. The accused name won't be released to protect the identity of the victim. 

 

On Saturday September 11, 2021, Fire department and Police responded to a fire at 70 Hope Street South. Police are requesting if anyone has any information to call 905-885-8123, or email phps@phps.on.ca or call Crime Stoppers at 1- 800-222-TIPS (8477). 

 

On Sunday September 12, 2021, early in the morning, Police responded to a disturb the peace call on Walton Street. 

As a result of the investigation 24-year-old Cobourg male, Brody REDICK was arrested and charged with the following:

1. Failure to comply with release order contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

REDICK was held for a Show Cause Hearing. 

Police conducted foot patrols along the Ganaraska River over the weekend. As a result of the foot patrols and calls for service, police issued Municipal By-Law tickets for night fishing, charges under the Ontario Fishery Regulations, and moved along unauthorized parked vehicles.
