Drug warrant executed Media Release     The Port Hope Police Service Criminal Investigations Bureau has executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search Warrant as part of ongoing investigations and enforcement into illegal drug activity affecting the community. In the early morning hours of Wednesday the 2nd July 2020 members of the Criminal Investigations Bureau with the assistance of Uniform Officers and the Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigations Bureau executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search Warrant at a Cavan Street apartment. Media Release     The Port Hope Police Service is reminding residents to never give personal information to people they do not know. On the 19th of June a Port Hope resident received a phone call from an unknown person who told him his social insurance card was compromised and is being used to create false bank accounts. He was then asked for his social insurance number which he gave. The person then terminated the call. The resident, realizing this was a scam contacted Police.
